ApplyWiser Terms of Service
Effective date: 14 October 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and PT Bijak Teknologi Semesta ("we") governing your use of the applywiser.ai website and app (the "Service"). We are a limited liability company established under Indonesian law and domiciled in South Jakarta, and we operate ApplyWiser.
1. Acceptance of these Terms
These Terms bind you from the moment you accept them when you create an account or buy a plan. If you do not agree, do not create an account or buy a plan. You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into an agreement.
We process your personal data in line with our Privacy Policy and Indonesia's Personal Data Protection Law. Accepting these Terms is not consent to the processing of personal data: we ask separately for any consent needed, such as for sending applications (including outside Indonesia), marketing emails, and analytics, and you may withdraw it.
2. The ApplyWiser Service
ApplyWiser is an AI-based job application tool that acts on your instructions. Depending on your plan and settings, the Service can:
- find and summarize jobs that match your profile, with a fit score for each;
- help you tailor your CV, cover letters, and answers to employer questions using AI;
- submit applications on your behalf to employers and applicant tracking systems ("ATS"), with your approval or through automation rules you set yourself;
- provide an email address and inbox to receive and organize employer replies;
- store your "Memory" (your record of career experience and achievements), answer bank, and application history.
All jobs on ApplyWiser are remote jobs at companies outside Indonesia, which we collect from those companies' career sites. We do not accept job postings or payment from employers.
We are not a recruitment agency, labor placement agency, employment broker, or employer. The decision on every application rests with the employer, and we do not guarantee that you will be invited to an interview, receive an offer, or be hired.
3. Your account and responsibilities
(a) Account
- Each person may have only one account, and accounts cannot be transferred.
- Provide accurate registration details, and update them if anything changes.
- Keep access to your account confidential. You are responsible for activity in your account, except where it results from our fault or negligence, or occurs after you have told us that someone else is using your account. If you suspect this, contact us immediately.
(b) Accurate information
You warrant that the information you provide is true, accurate, and about yourself. You are responsible for its accuracy and for the applications you approve. If that information includes other people's data, such as references' contact details, make sure those people agree to their data being shared for your applications.
(c) Prohibited use
You must not:
- use the Service to apply on behalf of anyone else;
- submit content that is unlawful, defamatory, or infringes the rights of others;
- give false or misleading information about your identity or qualifications;
- probe for security weaknesses in, disrupt, or overload the Service;
- reverse engineer or resell the Service;
- send repeated applications to the same job, or send employers messages unrelated to an application;
- use the Service, alone or with other tools, to get around the technical restrictions or terms of a third-party platform.
4. Applying on your behalf
By approving an application or turning on automation rules, you authorize us to complete and submit that application to the employer or ATS in your name, using the information you provided. The applicant remains you, not us.
- This authorization covers only the applications you approve or that match your automation rules. Beyond those, we do not accept job offers, sign documents, or make any statement on your behalf.
- You can pause or revoke automation rules at any time in Settings, and revocation takes effect immediately for applications not yet submitted. We cannot withdraw an application once it has been submitted.
- We notify you of every application submitted through automation rules, and every submitted application is recorded in your application history with a screenshot.
- When we know that an employer or ATS platform restricts or prohibits automated submission, we flag that platform in the Service and do not run automation rules for it.
- Submission depends on third-party systems outside our control, so it may fail, be delayed, or be blocked. The Service shows you its status.
5. AI output
AI output, such as fit scores, tailored CVs, and draft answers, is meant to assist you and can be wrong. A fit score is only an automated estimate, not a judgment of your ability and not a prediction of the outcome of an application. You can ask for a human review of automated submission decisions as described in the Privacy Policy.
Our system is designed not to invent qualifications, not to answer questions you have not provided information for, and not to upgrade the roles in your work history. If AI output still breaks these limits, including in automated applications, that is an error of our system, not yours. If AI output invents or changes facts about you, report it to us; we will fix it, and any loss caused by an error in our system is handled under section 10.
Check AI output before you approve an application. Applications sent through automation rules are submitted without a per-application check, so check your base CV, answer bank, and automation rules before you turn them on.
6. Intellectual property
(a) Ours
The Service, including the software, design, and ApplyWiser brand, belongs to us or our licensors. You receive a limited right to use it in line with these Terms.
(b) Your content
The content you provide, such as your CV, work history, answers, and "Memory", remains yours. As to copyright in that content, you give us limited permission to copy and adapt it, solely to run the Service for you. This permission is not consent to the processing of personal data, and applications are submitted only under section 4. We do not use your content to train third-party foundation AI models.
You may freely use the tailored output made for you, such as your CV and cover letters. The text of job descriptions remains the property of the companies that posted them.
7. Plans, payment, and refunds
(a) Plans and payment
- The features, price, period, and usage limits of each plan are shown on the pricing page and the checkout page.
- Payments are processed by our payment provider. We do not receive or store your full card or bank account details.
- Prices include applicable taxes unless the checkout page states otherwise.
- Once your payment is confirmed, paid features are activated and we email a receipt showing the plan, price, plan period, and transaction reference number to your account email address.
- Plans do not renew automatically. We email you a reminder before your plan period ends. Without renewal, access to paid features ends when the plan period expires.
- We give at least 14 days' notice of price changes, and they apply only to your next purchase or renewal.
(b) Refunds
We refund your payment:
- in full, for incorrect charges, meaning any amount charged twice, charged above the price of the plan you chose, or charged without you buying a plan;
- pro rata for the remaining plan period, if:
- a paid feature cannot be used as described when you bought the plan, other than because of force majeure or your own actions, and we cannot fix it within 7 days of your report;
- we discontinue the Service;
- we terminate your account for a reason other than your breach, or because the account holder turns out to be under 18;
- you choose to end your plan because the laws and regulations require us to remove or reduce a paid feature, or to change these Terms in a way that reduces your rights;
- you choose to end your plan because these Terms are assigned to a party that takes over our business;
- you choose to end your plan because force majeure prevents a paid feature from being used for more than 14 days.
"Pro rata" means the part of the plan price proportional to the number of days left in the plan period. For a paid feature that cannot be used and for force majeure, the days left are counted from when the paid feature stopped being usable, meaning when you reported it or when our systems recorded the fault, whichever is earlier. For the other cases, they are counted from the day the event takes effect.
For discontinuation of the Service, termination of your account by us, and incorrect charges we find ourselves, we process the refund without you having to ask. For other cases, email us a request stating your account email address and, if you have it, the transaction reference number. We send the refund within 7 days of receiving your complete request, or of when the right to a refund arises if no request is needed, through the payment method you used or another method that you and we agree on.
This section does not limit your rights under the laws and regulations, including Indonesia's Consumer Protection Law.
8. Availability and changes to the Service
We work to keep the Service available, but it may occasionally be interrupted, for example during maintenance.
We may add, change, or remove features, but during a plan period you have already paid for, we do not remove or reduce the paid features in your plan unless the laws and regulations require it. In that case we will tell you at least 14 days in advance, or as soon as possible if the regulation does not allow that much time, and you may end your plan with a pro rata refund.
If we discontinue the Service, we will give you at least 30 days' notice, provide a way to export your data, and refund the remaining plan period pro rata.
9. Termination and suspension
(a) By you
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time, in Settings › Account (the "Export or delete your data" button) or by emailing us. Deleting your account also ends any current plan; section 7(b) explains when payments are refunded. Account and profile data is deleted no later than 30 days after the account is deleted, except data we must keep longer, such as transaction records, in line with the Privacy Policy.
(b) By us
If we reasonably suspect a serious breach of section 3, we may suspend your account, and terminate it if the breach is established. We will tell you the reason first and give you a chance to respond. If suspension must be immediate to prevent harm to you, an employer, or anyone else, we will tell you the reason promptly afterwards. If a suspension turns out to be unfounded, we extend your plan period by the number of days it lasted.
We may also terminate your account without any breach on your part, with at least 30 days' notice. If an account holder turns out to be under 18, we close the account and delete its data in line with the Privacy Policy. In both cases, the remaining plan period is refunded pro rata.
(c) After termination
Sections 3(b), 5, 6(b), 7(b), 10, 13, and 14 continue to apply to the extent they relate to matters that occurred before or because of termination.
10. Liability
(a) Our liability
We are responsible for making sure the Service, including the AI limits in section 5, works as we describe it and that applications are submitted in line with your approval or automation rules. We are also liable for loss you suffer because of our fault or negligence in running the Service, including the fault of a service provider working for us, in accordance with the laws and regulations.
We are not liable for:
- employers' decisions;
- the actions, policies, or system failures of employers, ATS platforms, and other third parties outside our control, excluding service providers working for us;
- the consequences of inaccurate information you provide, or of applications you approve or that are submitted under your automation rules, as long as the Service, including the AI limits in section 5, works as we describe it;
- indirect loss, such as a lost job opportunity or the income you expected from an application, except where we failed to submit an application you approved or failed to deliver an employer's reply to your inbox.
For loss we are liable for, compensation is capped at the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These exclusions and this cap do not apply to loss caused by our intent or gross negligence, or to liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the laws and regulations, including Indonesia's Consumer Protection Law and Personal Data Protection Law.
(b) Your liability
You will compensate us for loss arising from third-party claims because information you provided turns out to be false or infringes the rights of others, or because you breach section 3(c), to the extent this results from your intent or negligence. This obligation does not apply to claims arising because the Service did not work as we describe it.
11. Force majeure
Neither we nor you are in breach of these Terms if prevented from performing an obligation by circumstances beyond reasonable control, such as natural disasters, fire, epidemics, war, riots, government action, or major failures of electricity, internet networks, or other public infrastructure, unless those circumstances are caused by the negligence of the affected party. A failure at a service provider working for us is not force majeure unless that failure is itself caused by force majeure.
The affected party will promptly notify the other and work to restore normal conditions. If force majeure prevents a paid feature from being used for more than 14 days, you may end your plan with a pro rata refund.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may change these Terms, for example because of changes to the Service or to regulations.
- Changes that do not disadvantage you, meaning they neither reduce your rights nor add to your obligations, such as wording improvements or new features, may take effect when announced. If in doubt, we treat a change as disadvantageous.
- Changes that disadvantage you, meaning they reduce your rights or add to your obligations, do not apply to a plan period you paid for before the change takes effect, unless you agree to them or they are required by the laws and regulations. Declining them does not stop you from using your plan until its period ends; the new Terms bind you when you renew or buy your next plan. If a change required by the laws and regulations reduces your rights during a plan period, you may end your plan with a pro rata refund.
If you do not agree with a change, you may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.
Transition. These Terms, first effective on 3 October 2026, replace the previous Terms of Service. If you signed up before that date, provisions that add to your rights apply from that date, and provisions that add to your obligations apply once you accept these Terms.
13. Complaints and disputes
(a) Complaints
Send questions, concerns, or complaints to us by email, stating your account email address, a description of the problem, and any supporting evidence. Our team sends an acknowledgment, reviews your complaint, tells you what is missing within 3 working days of receiving an incomplete complaint, and gives an answer within 14 days of receiving your complete complaint. Requests about personal data are handled within the time limits in the Privacy Policy.
(b) Governing law and dispute resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. If a dispute arises, you and we will first try to settle it by amicable consultation for up to 30 days from the date either party gives written notice of the dispute, including by email. If consultation does not resolve the dispute, it will be settled by the South Jakarta District Court (Pengadilan Negeri Jakarta Selatan).
This section, including the consultation period, does not limit your rights as a consumer under Indonesia's Consumer Protection Law to settle a dispute through the Consumer Dispute Settlement Agency (Badan Penyelesaian Sengketa Konsumen or BPSK) or the court where you are domiciled.
14. Other provisions
- Language. These Terms are made in Indonesian and English. If the two versions differ in meaning, the Indonesian version prevails.
- Notices. We send notices to the email address you use to sign in, and may add in-app notices. Notices about changes that reduce your rights, price changes, suspension, and discontinuation of the Service are always sent by email. You may send notices to us at the address in section 15. Make sure your account email address stays active.
- Assignment. Your account and your rights under these Terms cannot be transferred to anyone else. After notifying you in advance, we may assign these Terms to a party that takes over our business, without reducing your rights. We remain responsible for matters that occurred before the assignment, and you may end your plan with a pro rata refund if you do not wish to continue.
- Severability. If any provision is void or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply.
- Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the description of the plan you buy, form the entire agreement between you and us about the use of the Service, without cancelling anything we promised when offering the Service or our commitments in the Privacy Policy.
- No waiver. If either party does not immediately enforce a provision, that party is not considered to have waived its rights.
